Founded in 1986, Coral Cay Conservation Ltd (CCC) is an award-winning not-for-profit, volunteer-based international organization that sends teams of volunteers to scientifically survey some of the world's most endangered coral reefs and tropical forests. CCC currently has projects running in the Philippines, Tobago and Papua New Guinea. Additional projects in other countries are currently under development. CCC is primarily funded through its fee-paying international volunteer scheme, with additional funding sources from corporate and private donors and various grant-aid sources. For further information about CCC, please refer to www.coralcay.org.
Join a CCC expedition to assist in the conservation of fragile and exotic tropical marine and terrestrial environments. Volunteers help gather data for the protection and sustainable management of reefs and rainforests; also providing alternative livelihood opportunities for local communities. CCC expeditions give you a chance to work with like-minded volunteers from a range of backgrounds and ages. Projects destinations include the Philippines, Tobago and Papua New Guinea. Departing monthly, volunteers can spend a minimum of 1 week at their chosen destination. Full scientific and SCUBA diving tuition provided, with costs starting from £360.
You can also become part of the CCC team by volunteering in our Waterloo Head-Office! We are seeking part-time volunteers to assist the PR and Communications coordinator, fundraising coordinator and Science coordinator. Ideally, volunteers will be able to base themselves at the CCC offices in London (Waterloo) but working from home is an option. Whilst there is no remuneration offered, all reasonable travel & other expenses will be met. If you dedicate enough hours over a period of time you can earn yourself a free expedition!
